Once again, it was our pleasure to contribute to the Wirtschaftsuniversität Wien (WU) Tax Law Technology Center certification program, this time as part of the spring 2024 segment covering SAP and Tax.

Our shared commitment to education’s vital role in preparing tax for digitalization, or tax transformation (TX), is crucial to our collaboration. Prof. Dr. Robert Risse, the program director, expressed his thoughts:

“… we witnessed Geoff [Peck from Xyto]’s exceptional innovative thinking regarding transformation and his remarkable ability to implement it within in-house tax departments. His invaluable contributions significantly enhance our programs.”

The topics covered included:

  • Assessing perspectives on enterprise software via online surveys
  • A brief history of enterprise data, SAP, and how they currently relate
  • Understanding the concept of a ‘single source of truth‘ for tax data
  • A future-proofed data strategy for tax teams with SAP at the core.

However, realizing such a data strategy requires TX, and TX only offers the value needed when underpinned by sound, operationalized academic principles.

To learn more, join WU next quarter, or fast-track your TX, data, and ERP tax determination learnings with the Smart TaxTech & Transformation certification program.
